Pete's Special 1/20 Train

Pete's Special Train is a popular feature of our shows.  Pete has been involved in railroading for years.  He is active in the narrow-gauge Pine Creek Railway at Allaire State Park.  He has also made this 1/20 scale train, which he brings to railroad events throughout the NJ / PA region.  Powered by a wooden handle and pushed along handmade track, Pete's railroad is the most popular train with the kids.

Pete guides little Jordan on his first run with this amazing 1/20 scale, handmade Jersey Central train.

Here they come to the turntable, where the locomotive is turned.

Norm was as fascinated with Pete's train as Jordan.

These  1/20 scale trains are made from jar lids, wood, tin from cans...here's an unpainted locomotive heading the train

Pete explains a few facts of railroading for a young railfan.

Later that day, a child asked Pete what the "rocks" were in the bin behind the locomotive.  The "rocks" were coal.  It's a sign of the times that many children have never seen coal!
